Early Release of the Paperback Edition of The Night Bus

Oh, I knew I’d get something wrong.

I wanted both the e-book and the Print On Demand paperback to be released on the 30th November. All went smoothly as far as the e-book was concerned, but Amazon have just emailed me to say the paperback is live now.

I blame the change from their old system to the new one. Before, the author had to approve a proof copy before the paperback would go live. Despite my ordering a proof copy that will not arrive for a few days yet, it’s already gone live.

Oh, well.

    1. Thanks, Annika. It will all depend on what you put in for the release date. For the POD if you leave it blank, it obviously takes that as release as soon as THEY approve the file. With CreateSpace, it used to be as soon as you do.

  5. Congrats on the release – and on navigating the tech-hurdles – I’m still waiting for proof copies – funnily (or maybe not so funny) my co-author in the UK gets his copy weeks before I do, because we here in Canada are at the far end of the universe, don’t you know.

    I sort of feel a bit like a blast from the past as I’ve left it nearly a year to pop in to WordPress to see how my WP friends are doing!

    Anyway, huge congratulations on the release of your paperback – I’ll take a look on Amazon as soon as I get a chance.

    It’s coming up to a year since I last wrote anything on WP and I really want to try and write something in the next week or two. I’m really well and of course, and it goes without saying, I’m still incredibly busy, but am now involved with new friends and organizations which I’m passionate about (more of that in my new post as soon as I can write it). I’ll try and have a read of some of your recent posts as soon as I have time. In the meantime, look after yourself and I hope life is treating you well.

I haven’t checked or logged into my blog email address for nearly a year! I hate to think how many emails I’ve missed – I don’t know if I dare look 😉 .   11. I had huge issues with Amazon when I released Through the Nethergate. I took 10 weeks for the paperback to be available and other two for the ebook. I also wanted the ebook out first. Three months though for Amazon to get the book out, it is incredibly long and messes up your whole marketing approach.
