Well, I tried clearing the cache on the browser, and it made no difference. But I tried opening posts from my phone, and that worked. Help suggested that might mean it’s the browser at fault, so I might change my browser at some point. So for those of you having similar problems, my browser is Chrome. At the moment.

Hi, Mick, I sometimes have the same problem–sometimes, but not always, though it seems to be consistent which blogs I can’t “like.” I wonder if it’s a combination of browser and certain WP templates. My browser is Firefox. Plus, I now have to log into WP every time I want to comment on a blog.

Hi Donna. I’ve had the login issue when commenting, although it seems sporadic and follows no particular pattern. As for the likes, it came on suddenly yesterday and affected every blog I looked at. It does seem to be my browser, which is Chrome, as I have no trouble from my phone. I don’t feel like changing the browser at the moment, though. Too many associated hassles! I think WordPress is just glitching.

I use Chrome by default. Rarely have any issues with it. Possibly just one of those glitches the cause of which is difficult to discover.

I use Firefox so not the same as Chrome but I wonder if Chrome may not also have an option to ‘Clear Cache’. I’ve set Firefox up so it clears cache and history whenever I log out but a manual clear out might work on Chrome. Good luck!

I tried that. I cleared the cache but it made no difference. Changing the browser might do it, but I can’t be bothered with the hassle!

I remember when Google was the best of the best. It isn’t any more. That said, I’m glad it righted itself in the end.

I use Chrome and I can like posts but for some of the blogs my comments are not accepted in reader. I need to go to the website and post a comment after filling a form. I appreciate when I can read a post in reader and post my comment.
