It seems unbelievable (to me, that is), but it’s now fifteen years since I last visited Nepal. This is just a selection of some of my favourite photos from my trips there. Some you’ve already seen, some you haven’t.

Amazing how humans can create homes in the unlikeliest places and get more interesting views than we who live in ordinary streets.

Nepal is probably my favourite of all the countries I have visited, with New Zealand a close second. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity.

I’m not sure, Diana. I’ve committed to avoiding flying wherever possible, for environmental reasons, and haven’t flown for eight years now. But I’m strongly tempted to take one final trip out there.

It’s an amazing place, Dave. You’d be in seventh heaven with your camera! And yes, the loads the porters carry just have to be seen to be believed.

Such a beautiful and nostalgic series of photos, Mick.
To have visited Nepal at such a time would have been magic, and the one photo I think I could spend hours gazing upon is the “Sunset light on Everest” ~ a mountain full of dreams and nightmares.
